Hustler to Combine Broadcasting and Internet Units, Taps Klein

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — LFP will combine its broadcasting, mobile and Internet units after choosing executive Michael H. Klein to lead the new division.

“Under Michael’s direction, Hustler TV has become one of the fastest-growing adult networks reaching six out of the top 10 [multiple system operators] in just the first year in the United States,” Hustler magazine Publisher Larry Flynt said in a release. “Michael’s exceptional understanding of the cable and telecommunications marketplace has allowed the creation of an outstanding product worthy of the Hustler brand.”

LFP Broadcasting LLC is made up of Hustler TV for pay-per-view and Hustler TV On Demand. LFP Internet Group LLC includes all Internet and mobile operations.

"There really is a thin line between the two [units]," Klein told XBiz.

Unifying the pair of divisions under one executive will enable LFP will be able to take full advantage of “fresh revenue opportunities” across multiple delivery platforms, said Klein, who has been with the Beverly Hills, Calif.-based company for 1-1/2 years.

“The combination of video, Internet and mobile operations will expand our commitment to offer customers exclusive, high-quality Hustler brand adult entertainment in new and innovative ways,” Klein said. “Hustler TV has exceeded our expectations for the first year and consistently outperforms other more well-established adult networks.”
